Jour 75 - More of Florence + Jewelry Shopping!

November 3rd, Thursday

We woke up to find better breakfast food! Max prepared a basket of stuff! Still not sufficient though :)) Good thing, we bought proschiutto and cheese in the market!

Yum! Buffala cheese <3

Haha! My store! :))

Sunny morning so we decided to go to the huge Coop outside Florence. It's this huge supermarket filled with wonderful Italian products - cheese, proschiutto, pasta. We actually went crazy because we needed to make sure that aside from the proschiutto we were going to have shipped, the box would be full up to the top!

For lunch, we ate in Trattorio Mario. It's a famous place for lunch! As you can see in its door, so many institutions have recommended this trattoria!

Super packed because it's only open during lunch!

We actually didn't know what to order - good thing we were seated with two Italian men who would usually go here. They suggested we get pasta with deer for our starter.

And then tongue.

And the last one is something like mechado. I forgot what the Italian name is but it was good!!

We went to the Baptistry again, this time around in daylight!

Oh and also passed by the Uffizi.

In Florence, there is this famous bridge called Ponte Vecchio (literally it means golden bridge). It was a bridge for people to buy meat but then it was changed to a bridge where all the jewelry shops are. It's now the place to buy gold :) My dad and I spent the whole afternoon looking at jewelry <3 I won't tell you more details because I might bore you but wowwwww, the pieces I saw were just amazing!

My dad wanted to pose with the wild boar :))

Saw another F1 car before heading home :) Noel would have loved to see this!
