Jour 91 - Postcard Picture Perfect Bruges

November 19th, Saturday

Cam, Kwi and I decided to divert from the plan and go to Bruges today, instead of the gang's plan to go to Brussels. The rest woke up early! They had to catch their train which was at 5 am. In the mean time, the girls and I weren't in a hurry. We could just catch any local train to Bruges.

We got to Bruges around 11 am feeling so cold! The whole city was so foggy!

..And then Ryan texted Cam.

He met up with us in this Friterie for brunch!

This Friterie had  a lot of the local pika-pikas. Oh and take note, everything here is being fried.

This is what Kwi ordered.

While this is what I got.

So cute! They have horses around this city! :)

The architecture of Bruges is really different compared to the rest of Belgium. If I were to come back to Belgium for the sights, I'd go back for this. Bruges, Venice of the North.

This reminded me of Louisa, my landlady, and her cat, Pacotille.

Ryan treated us macarons! :)

Aren't the houses so pretty!? :)

We met up with Karl afterwards!

There was this group of men who were all in orange! :))

Before heading home, we wanted to see the windmills!

<3

Pretty fall foliage :D

Oh and here's another picture of Kwi with her lens cap. Funny story with it AGAIN :)) So we were walking back already when Kwi realized that her lens cap was missing again. We went back to where we were having our photoshoot and..

Ryan found it! Yey!

We left the boys since we had to catch our train to Marseille!

But before leaving Belgium, I just had to eat waffles to complete my day trip here :P

BUT OUR TRAIN ADVENTURE WASN'T OVER. Another crazy night for us! So the usual thing, we had a lot of connecting trains. We were on our way to Paris in one train but we all fell asleep and overslept! Next thing we know, we had to take a detour and we got to Paris later than expected :| We missed our night train to Toulon! :| :| @_@ So we were stuck in Paris AGAIN. Cam called up her friend who is a receptionist at a hostel to ask if there was still extra rooms for the night. There wasn't anymore :( But he said we could crash there!

...and so we did! Alfred, the receptionist, was super accommodating! He was so friendly and Cam and I were so happy to hear his kwentos about other languages (yes, he can speak German, Italian, Spanish, English, Filipino, French, etc) and his gay love life :)) What a character I tell you!

This hostel is called Le Village. I think it would be pretty cool to stay here :)
Anyway, another crazy experience: sleeping on the table! Yes, there was no other choice! :|
xx
