Jour 48 - Paris Camp Out Part 2

October 7th, Friday

Our train to Lucerne was still at 6 pm so I decided to bake pizza and chicken for late lunch.

Good lunch before leaving home :)

We didn't want to spend on high speed trains so we opted to take a lot of the connecting regional trains. We had to take one train before we got to Aulnoye Aymeries. When we got here, we kept on looking at the board for our connecting train to Paris Nord and then after a few seconds, IT DISAPPEARED! @_@ Kwi went to the ticket office to find out that our train to Paris Nord got cancelled!!!!! We were so dead :|

It was night time and we didn't know what to do. Luckily, the ticket man told us an alternative route to get to Paris (but it was delayed for 3 minutes). We were happy BUT when we got to Paris, we missed our connecting train to Switzerland by 5 minutes!!!!!! :| We were so scared that we were going to get stuck in the train station again. I then thought of calling Anj, a friend of mine who's doing exchange in Paris. I called her and told her our situation. I asked if we could crash in her flat. Luckily, she said that 3 of her roommates just left for Amsterdam that night and she had space!!!!!!!

So... she and her roommate, Nadine, saved us! 

The girls and I were able to sleep for a couple of hours before heading back to Paris Nord to see if we could go to Lucerne or not! (Since when we got to the train station, the ticket office was closing and no one could help us anymore). :(
